DART-4 Solar Tracking Module

4x 550W =2.2kW Solar Array will Generate 22kWh/p Energy per day with 10 Hours Sun.

This is a bespoke Narrow stand DART-4 Unit with Two Slew Bearings, prior to being Converted from inefficient GPS tracking to Radiation Tracking.

See the Light Sensor atop the Racking, after Converting to a Radiation Tracking Unit.

Note the Shadow casting from the "Shadow indicator" on bottom LHS of the Panels, in full Sunlight the Shadow cast by the Screw should only be casing a Shadow over the base of the long shaft, there should be No Long Shadow, as it shows the Panels are Perpendicular too the Sun.

What will a DART-4 Generate ?

This largely depends on the Wattage of the Solar Panel fitted, a DART-4 module fitted with 4x 500W solar panel can generate approx. 20kWh/p Energy per Day, if installed at 32° Latitude (Sydney/Perth), as commonly Sydney & Perth get 10 hours of Sun exposure per Day.

It should be noted the further South or North of the Equator you live, DART modules will Generate even more energy!

Does a DART unit cost include the Foundation ?

No, DART foundation is Optional, as some customers prefer to manufacture there own foundation or base plate, as the DART's can be Free-standing, just like a Cafe Umbrella, or if prefer, can be Dynabolt to a Cement slab, we have installed a DART unit onto a Trailer to provide a Mobile Power Station.

However, we commonly supply from 100~300cm Double Flanged Foundation Pole, the Top Foundation Flange should be set at Ground level, the Top Flange has the same bolt pattern as the Main Mast, providing easy assembly.

What should be the Solar Panel Ground Clearance Height ?

With the panels Tilted at 60~80° degrees in the morning & evening, the panels can be as close to the ground as 30cm if you like, commonly no less than 80cm ground clearance is recommended.

If you want to increase the ground clearance so livestock can graze beneath the DART's, the Main Mast simply needs to be Higher, a 300cm pivot height provide approx. 200cm ground clearance 10am.

What Hight are the solar panels at in the Stow Position ?

A DART module with a 200cm Main Mast +100cm Tilt Mast, the Panels in the Stow or High Wind Position (Horizontal) will be approx. 300cm above the ground.

The location & Height of a DART units can be manufactured to compensate for the surrounding Shading from Trees, Buildings &/or Terrain, allowing the DART to capture the maximum amount of Solar Radiation at Day break & Sunset.

This just requires a taller Main Mast to obtain the desired Panel height.
