What is a Energy distributor ?
An Energy Distributor is responsible for delivering electricity and gas to homes and businesses across Australia.
It is the Distributor, NOT the Energy Retailer, who own and maintains all the Power Poles, poles, pipes and meters that make the transmission of power and natural gas possible.
Ausgrid is one of the larger distributor of electricity on Australia's east coast, providing energy to approx 2 million customers.
Is it worth staying State Grid Connected ?
- NO, it's Not worth staying State Grid Connected, for Three basic Reasons;
- Not unless you Solar Array Generates in Excess of 375kWh of Energy every Month (12kWh Day), as that is what it takes to cover the Rip-off $30 monthly Connection Fee charged to Remain State Grid Connected if You get 8 cents kWh Feed-in-Tarrif (FIT), if You get 5 cents kWh that equates to 600kWh of Free Energy you have to Gift to the Deceptively Named Electricity Retailer and don't forget you get Slugged the Full Power Rate after Sunset !
- After Sunset most people are Paying up to & over 400% more for importing Power Back from the State Grid, than they are getting as the Feed-in-Tarrif (FIT) !
- Our Customers Data & our own data shows that over 12 months, a Fuel Generator only Cost approx. $50 a year in Fuel (15% of the $360 Connection Charges), to Operated a Generator for short periods & during Extended Bad weather !
- NB: The Energy you Gift/Export into the State Grid, is sold to your Neighbours at Full Retail Price Retailers, making the a profit of over $140 month on just 375kWh Gifted Energy inc. the $30 charge !
- Unfortunately the brain dead politicians in charge of the Australian Energy sector, Starting with Chris Bowen, appear totally unskilled with little understanding or purposely avoids stating the obvious, it is cheaper for every household to invest in 30kWh Energy Storage (*$5'380) and Go OFF-Grid, than remain enslaved to the State Grid Power, and most Politicians are X Lawyers that could Not make it in the real word, the Energy sector is being led by imbeciles !
- This is why People with Solar are now Purchasing Energy Storage & disconnecting from the State Grid in droves !
Who Owns Australia’s Energy Distribution Network ?
It appears our incompetent government is incapable of managing our countries energy distribution network, as Federal Government entered into the following partnership agreements;
NSW Ausgrid: On 1st March 2011, Energy Australia Network was re-branded as Ausgrid as part of the NSW Government reforms. Australian Government own $49.6%, with 50.4% owned by AustralianSuper & IFM investors to operate Ausgrid under a long-term lease of 99 years.
NSW RED Energy: 100% owned by Snowy Hydro, now supplied electricity to Victorian, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland Households.
NSW Endeavour Energy: On 1st March 2011, Integral Energy (network) was re-branded as Endeavour Energy as part of the NSW Government reforms.
NSW Essential Energy: On 1st March 2011, Country Energy (network) was re-branded as Essential Energy as part of the NSW Government reforms.
VIC Jemena: Is 60% owned by CHINA State Grid Corporation and 40% owned by Singapore Power! Seriously who are the Government bureaucrats selling our infrastructure off to overseas government companies, this screams bureaucratic incompetence or Treason at the Federal level, leaves one thinking, Who is running this country? ...X-lawyers & Latte sipping bureaucrats with Smart phones, Smarter than they are!
AGL: Australian Gas & Light (AGL) is one of Australia's oldest companies, promoting itself as "Proudly Australian since 1837". Today, AGL is an ASX listed company, meaning that ownership is mixed among shareholders. Most major shareholders are Australian investment companies.
It is still early to know if this was simply a sell-off of our infrastructure by the clowns at parliament house, as it appears they have no idea of how to run a business, let alone a Country!
These are Network
What is a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) ?
A Physical PPA is a signed long-term contract with a third-party to seller who agrees to build, maintain, and operate a renewable energy system either on the customer's property (on-site) or off-site.
PPA's should be arranged with the local Distributor, unless you have a Private Grid, like a Block of Units or Shopping centre etc., as then you can set up your own Distribution network or use an existing Australian "Energy Trading Platform" like Power Ledger below.
We are aware that Power Ledger is the only company that is transitioning to Community & Private energy Trading that cuts out the middle-man, being the deceptively named "Energy Retailers", by allowing the actual energy generators (Not distributors) to sell there energy directly to consumers! |
